1) Ivan’s great. Too bad that I have to hide him and everyone seems to only care about me when they think I have a love life. So sad.
2) This blog called Stuff White People Like makes me laugh or feel guilty in a way. Not because I’m white, but because I’ve actually wondered about those things myself.
3) Why do people wear gym clothes outside the gym? Like wearing Under Armor attire or sweatpants to dinner with friends or even to the movies? Are you kidding me? I’m not—read this.
Au revior! -Henry

1) So, I have a stalker. Or rather someone who was actually interested in my rants. It turns out that the area I always walk by coming home from school is frequented by a boy who always waits at the bus stop. And, as I unknowingly seem to complain about my life when walking, he became used to the routine. So, I guess we hit it off. He’s cute and he seems to like me, although I don’t know why (or how).
2) If you’ve seen the ad for the Macbook Air (I would love to have that!), then chances are you’ve heard of Yael Naim. I love it when she speaks Hebrew; just listening to her music seems to fit with spring.
3) I think updos are back. And not the kind you can do in five minutes, the really stylish kind. A lot of women are wearing them with headbands. Don’t believe me? Well, read this.
And yeah, a day two days late! But no real reason this time. I wonder if I should just blog on Sundays.
Ciao! -Henry

1) So, my life seems pretty boring. I go to school, I shop at the same stores and I deal with a wacky family. But something happened on Friday. I shall let you know what (or who) it was that broke my mundane routine.
2) Since I first started watching Project Runway, I became a fan of Christian Siriano, but I also learned that the song he used for his show in the finale was done by his beau, Brad Walsh. I really like his music a lot, or as Christian would say, ‘he’s kind of a big deal.’
3) Hmm … no matter how bland I feel, The Rocky Horror Picture Show always cheers me up.
Bye! -Henry
P.S. Sorry, this was a day late. I couldn’t find my favorite scarf and was too upset to post. But I found it now!
NEXT WEEK’S STRIPS :: Henry’s life takes an interesting romantic turn.

1) So, boo to gender roles. Actually, I don’t really know what they are, but they’re useless anyway, especially when I have to shop for clothes. I don’t really wear women’s clothing, but every now and then, I spot a shirt or scarf that seems unisex and I buy it. But all of that was thrown out of the loop when an attendant told me I had to go to another store. What nerve. But it had really started when Drew said I acted too feminine. Of course, it doesn’t matter because for one, it means virtually nothing to me. I’m me, not some binary figure. And secondly, he didn’t remember even saying it, let alone knowing what feminine means. Oh, Drew.
2) This band called The Ones are tearing up NYC with their electro-pop sound. How I wish I could just jetset there, without a permission slip or a worry of going into premature debt from shopping on 5th Avenue.
3) So, I’m not good at guessing Spring fashions, but I’m going to say the Mediterranean look is in. Maybe it was several years ago and I could be wrong. But Roberto Cavalli seems to agree.
That’s all for now. Ciao! -Henry

3.1.08 – RECAP AND REVIEWS :: Extra Pounds, Focaccia Bread and Creme Brulee, Silver. March 1, 2008

1) So, does huffing and puffing about a problem suddenly make you an advocate? Apparently so. I know Holly usually complains about her weight every three weeks (she looks the same) but apparently a suggestion about trying on larger pants was enough to make her stand up for women who aren’t a size three. I know this is far from over.
2) I never talk about food, but it’s time to start. I love focaccia bread and creme brulee. Pretty much, you can just eat the focaccia by itself, but I love making sandwiches with them. Olives, lettuce, tomatoes, radishes, mayo and of course, Grey Poupon. Oh, and for creme brulee, raspberry or orange ones are delicious.
3) I like silver jewelry more, as opposed to gold. I don’t think gold is ugly, but silver just seems like it goes with everything. Gold only works with black or dark blue, in my opinion. And who wants to look like a mortician everyday? Silver offers a better combination of colors. Oh, and it’s shiny and all.
Oh, and leap day was yesterday. Happy belated birthday to anyone who was born yesterday! I wasn’t. -Henry
